Our sport is more significant than a game, and we are privileged to play it. No other sport brings the community together and provides its participants so many valuable life skills.
On February 21, 2023, the Calgary Canucks will host its inaugural Red and Yellow Banquet in the Telus Club at the Scotiabank Saddledome. It has been an exciting year for the Canucks as it has rebranded itself to become genuinely community owned and aligned with our city’s grassroots. One of the more noticeable changes is the Canucks colours. After 51 years, we are now wearing red and yellow, which aligns with the City of Calgary, the Calgary Flames, and the University of Calgary. As a result of the change, we have renamed our yearend banquet the Red and Yellow Banquet.
We have an exciting program hosted by Sportsnet 960’s Pat Steinberg, including special guests, two-time Stanley Cup Champion, Flames Alumni and NCAA Division 1 Alumni Jamie Macoun and first-round, ninth overall, NHL draft selection and Flames Alumni Brent Krahn. The event includes a hot-stove panel, player awards, speeches, and exciting live and silent auctions.
The event starts at 6:00 PM with cocktails and the formal program beginning at 7:00 PM. A silent auction will follow, with the evening wrapping up at 9:00 PM. Ticket prices for the event are $150 each, or a table of 8 for $1,000.
We welcome you to join us for an interactive evening filled with great entertainment, delicious food, and lots of fun. All proceeds from the Red and Yellow Banquet go to operating your community-owned Calgary Canucks. Your support is needed and appreciated.
