Calgary, AB — The 2025 Centennial Cup Champion Calgary Canucks Junior A Hockey Club is now accepting applications for the position of Head Coach.
Following a landmark season that brought the Centennial Cup back to Calgary, the Canucks are seeking a driven, experienced, and collaborative leader to guide the next era of one of the most storied franchises in Canadian junior hockey.
Founded in 1971, the Calgary Canucks are among the most successful teams in the history of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). With more Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) championships than any other franchise, the Canucks have built a proud tradition of excellence, leadership, and elite player development. Generations of athletes have progressed through the program to achieve collegiate and professional careers, and the team remains a pillar of the Calgary sports community.
We are looking for a Head Coach who is not only a proven winner with a passion for the game and a track record of player development, but also a collaborative communicator who can foster trust and accountability across all levels of the organization. The successful candidate must be able to command the respect of athletes and colleagues alike while cultivating a high-performance, team-first culture.
It is a unique opportunity to lead a championship-calibre team in its defence of its national title alongside a talented and experienced staff, which includes multiple assistant coaches with professional playing careers in the NHL, KHL, and elite European leagues, as well as international experience representing Team Canada. The incoming Head Coach will step into a role well-supported by a committed front office and a strong community following.
