The Canucks have been busy as of late making changes to their roster. They have added a pair of defensemen. Acquiring 96-D Mark Nerland from the Camrose Kodiaks and 95-D Chandler Irving from Fort McMurray. GM Chad Shiel had this to say about the moves. “We thought we needed some more experience on our back end. Adding both Mark and Chandler gives us that. They both are experienced d-men in this league and should provide us with some more stability on our back end. We now feel that we have a very solid and competative team moving into the second half of the season”.
The Canucks are in Sherwood Park on Friday to take on the Crusaders and then back home on Sunday where they will face off against Fort McMurray on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Max Bell. Sunday is also our family skate day where fans and family members will have the chance to skate with the Canucks following the game on Sunday.
