Canucks Add Chayden Lauber

On Thursday the Canucks completed a trade with the Olds Grizzly's. The Canucks send 20 yr old forward Colton Sheen to the Olds Grizzly's in exchange for 17 yr old defenseman Chayden Lauber. Head Coach Ryan Barrett had this to say about the trade; “It was a tough decision to let go of Sheener, he has been a really big part of this team for the last couple of seasons. We certainly wish him all the best in Olds and want to thank him for his commitment and efforts while with the Canucks.” The Canucks get back a young D-man with a ton of potential in Chayden Lauber. Lauber, who is only 17, is already in his second season in the AJHL. The 6'3″ 225 lb defenseman will be a big part of the Canucks blue line in the coming years. ” In Chayden, we get a big mobile d-man with a great shot. Chayden has shown a lot of promise in the league and should develop into one of the top defenseman in the AJHL in the coming years.” Said Barrett.
