The Canucks are excited to announce the leadership team for the 2019-2020 season ahead of the home opener tomorrow night!
Your captain for the year is second year Canuck, Zach Bokenfohr. When asked about the teams newly named captain Head Coach and GM Brad Moran had this to say, ?Zach leads by example on and off the ice. When he speaks, the players listen and his work ethic is second to none?. Bokenfohr, a 1999-born defenceman was acquired mid-season last year and played in 29 games last season, adding to the Canucks with 3 goals and 13 assists.
Joining Zach as part of the leadership team as assistant captians are defenceman Michael Bladon and forwards, Jackson Verstraete and Alex Heal. ?Michael, Jackson and Alex all compliment Zach in different ways and add to the leadership group.? noted Brad Moran, ?We are very fortunate to have numerous leaders within our dressing room and expect everyone to help out when called upon.? Bladon, Verstraete and Heal are all second year veterans on the team who joined the team at various times over the course of last season.
