CANUCKS AQUIRE CLAY SPENCER

The Calgary Canucks today announced that they have completed a trade with the Whitecourt Wolverines acquireing forward  Clay Spencer (95) for defenseman  Gianni Mangone (93).

Clay has spent the past two seasons with the Wolverines where in 69 games he had 15 goals and 16 assists for a total of 31 points. Clay is a native of Lethbridge Alberta and is 6-1 and weighs 180 lbs.

The Canucks welcome Clay to the club and look forward to his continued success.

In return, the Canucks say goodbye to three year member Gianni who in three seasons with the Canucks played in 93 games and had 19 goals and 41 assists for a total of 60 points. After a season ending injury last season Gianni has returned to play on a regular basis this season.

The Canucks would like to thank Gianni for his commitment to the Canucks during the past three seasons and wish him much success with his new team.
