Canucks embark on a three game road trip

After a moderately successful 1-1 homestand this past weekend, the Canucks will travel away from the confines of Max Bell Centre for the next three games. Up next for the Canucks is a rematch of Friday's contest against the Calgary Mustangs that saw the Mustangs eke out a 4-3 victory. The game takes place on Wednesday night at 7 PM, at the Father David Bauer Arena.

The Canucks will then head north for a Friday night matchup against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons at 8 PM. The Oil Barons are off to a surprisingly slow start (6-7-1), considering this team made it to the AJHL final last season. However this matchup should be a challenge for the Canucks, as the Oil Barons have dominated the season series between these two teams the past several years.

The Canucks conclude the road trip a day later with a  matinee game against the Sherwood Park Crusaders at 2:15 PM in the afternoon. The Canucks lost 2-1 in a shootout against the Crusaders in September, and have not defeated this opponent since February 2007.

The Canucks will return to Max Bell Centre for a matchup against the Spruce Grove Saints on Sunday, October 28th at 2 PM.
