The Calgary Canucks are back and ReCharged as they Celebrate their 50th Season. The Canucks would like to invite you to the home opener vs the Brooks Bandits September 25th (Saturday) at Henry Viney arena. Puck Drop is at 7 pm, tickets are available at the gate or secure your seat over at calgarycanucks.ca. Don’t forget to arrive early to receive a Free Bull Bell (while supplies last).
The last several months have been tough on all of us, but the Canucks would love to bring everyone back together and join in the celebration of the dedication they share for the city. Throughout the season the Canucks will celebrate their past 50 seasons in Calgary and encourage all Calgarians, and especially sports fans, to join in on the affordable family fun.
The non-profit Calgary Canucks Junior A Hockey club was founded in 1971, and are the second Oldest franchises still operating in the Alberta Junior Hockey league. Looking back on the Canucks history, they are perhaps the most successful team in league history. The team has won 11 regular season titles, nine AJHL championships, 2 Doyle Cup titles, and 2 Centennial Cup national championships.
“We have a young team that is full of character and eager to learn. We can see them getting better everyday. With all the adversity the players had to go through last year, they are all just excited to be back doing what they love in front of our fans” said Coach and General Manager, Brad Moran.
The Canucks were proud to announce our 2021-2022 Captain, Connor Bertamini. with Dylan Clark, Matthew Brunton, and Lucas Watkins joining him on the leadership team. As per the Alberta Government requirements for businesses participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program, all visitors to Calgary Canucks games (aged 12 and over) will have to show proof of vaccination or a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service.
