Some of the Calgary Canuck players woke up bright and early Monday morning to spend some time in the Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK) kitchen. BB4CK’s aim is to have no hungry kids in Calgary. The Canucks players helped prepare 1919 nutritious lunches that were distributed to schools around the city and were available to kids who did not have a lunch that day. All morning the Canucks worked hard making sandwiches, preparing energy balls, and packing snacks and lunches. You can see all of the Canucks hard work in our highlight video below!
The Canucks are beginning our annual February snack drive for BB4CK. You can drop off all your snack donations at any of our February home games! For ideas on what you can do to help click here.
Calgary Flames forward Sam Bennett recently began his Sam Feeds Kids Campaign in support of BB4CK. Sam stopped by the kitchen and helped make lunches and has a goal of raising $25,000 to feed hungry kids (click here to read CTV's article about this initiative) . You can support his campaign by purchasing a raffle ticket to win Flames tickets and a meet and greet with Sam Bennett.
