The Calgary Canucks traded Tate Sproxton and Michael Clarke to Grande Prairie in return for Ben Assad and future considerations. Ben Assad played the last three seasons in the AJHL for the Brooks Bandits and the Grande Prairie Storm. Last season, the forward put up 24 points in 60 games for the Storm.
