Canucks goaltender Erik Gordon is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week after posting a perfect 3-0 record last week. The 18 year-old goalie recorded a 2.0 GAA, .944 SV% and a shutout for the Canucks over the three games.
Gordon opened the week with a 6-0 shutout victory over the crosstown Mustangs. He then earned the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in back to back games with a 5-3 win over Brooks on Friday and a 4-3 victory versus Whitecourt on Saturday. Throughout three games, Gordon faced 107 shots and allowed just 6 goals against.
