Nucks News – September 2022 Edition

Calgary Canucks take on the South Korea Men's University hockey team - August 2022

The Canucks are back for their 51st season in the city of Calgary with a new brand identity off and on the ice.

In mid-August, the Canucks launched a new website in partnership with HockeyTech, along with the new branding of team colours that connect the team franchise with the history and colours that best represent Calgary.

The new website was launched, along with the rest of the league to provide fans with live broadcasts, and real-time stats, with the goal to provide fans with instant information.

The Canucks will debut a new on-ice look with colours that better tie into the city of Calgary during their home opener on September 17th, when they host the Olds Grizzlys.

Calgary is looking to build off last season heading into the 2022-2023 season, with the Canucks finishing the 2021-2022 season with a record of 15-39-5 and picking up two wins in round one for the first time since the 2018 playoffs.

For some late summer hockey action, the Canucks started the pre-season with an international exhibition against Korea University, before ending the month with an intrasquad game and a matchup against the Okotoks Oilers.

Up next for the Canucks is two pre-season matchups at home against the Canmore Eagles and the Drumheller Dragons. The Canucks will also hit the road with games against Canmore, Okotoks and Drumheller.
