The 2015 Calgary Canucks spring camp planning is underway
The purpose of the camp is to identify players who have the ability and desire to play Junior “A” hockey in the immediate or near future. The camp will give you the opportunity to meet with Canucks staff and get a feel for our team philosophies as well as evaluate the Canucks as an opportunity for yourself.
Our desire is to make this camp an exciting challenging opportunity for you to reach the next level of your hockey career. Canucks staff will be evaluating players and will use the camp to invite prospects to our main Camp in August 2015, and help develop future prospects. This years camp will include a group for players born in 2000 and a group born from 1995 – 1999. Each age group will only compete against each other, however, prospects can and may be moved up and down as we see fit.
We will also be offering a seminar to both players and parents during the camp, highlighting the Junior “A” hockey experience and our commitment to excellence in education and hockey. This program will provide an overview into what it takes to play at the Junior “A” level and then ultimately onto CIS, NCAA or the WHL. Scouting session – What it takes to be noticed by a junior scout, what scouts are looking for on and off the ice.
