The Canucks were busy at the trade deadline moving two players while adding two.

Derek Thorogood, forward (93) was traded to the Okotoks Oilers for Mitch Amatto, forward (94). Derek was in his third season with the Canucks having played in 123  games while contributing  83 points.

The Canucks wish to thank Derek for his contributions and wish him success in his future hockey endeavors.

Mitch Amatto has spent the past two seasons with the Oilers where in 90 games he has 31 points.

The Canucks welcome Mitch to their program. 

The Canucks also signed forward Landon Welykholowa (96) to their roster today. 

Landon comes to the Canucks from the Calgary Hitmen who recently obtained his rights from the Victoria Royals of the WHL. 

Landon is a graduate of the Calgary Buffaloes Hockey Association.
