The Calgary Canucks are pleased to announce that forward Tyler Barrett (Kelowna, BC) has committed to the team after the teamâ??s Spring Camp joining Jason Yan and Tyler Devost.

Barrett (@tjbarrie), who recorded 12 goals and 18 assists at the Pursuit of Excellence last season, is originally from Edmonton and was looking to return to Alberta. â??I love Calgary,â? he said after camp. â??I was hoping to commit right out of camp and when they offered, it was everything I wanted to hear.â?

Listed at 5â??11â? and 180 lbs., he describes himself as a power forward who skates fast, loves to hit and score and will play whichever role the coach asks.

While he will have to play his way onto the team, he is one step closer to reaching his dream of playing Junior A hockey. Training camp starts in roughly 100 days on August 18 at the Max Bell Arena.
