Canucks Clear the Ice at Shawnessy Community Rink

The Calgary Canucks were in the community on Friday afternoon, January 6th at the Shawnessy Community Rink.  The entire Canucks team came to the outdoor rink after a practice on the south end of the city, at Cardel Rec South.  After a heavy snowfall overnight and throughout the day had blanketed the city, the boys wanted to do their part to help out.

The boys all grabbed shovels, put on their toques and gloves, zipped up their jackets, and got right to work. In less than 30 minutes they had the entire sheet of ice freshly scraped, and ready for kids and families to be able to skate throughout the weekend!

The Calgary Canucks take great pride in the community.  The work that the players do in the community reflect their hard working values that they display each time they step onto the ice.
