The Calgary Canucks are pleased to announce that 2007-born defenceman Nolan Paquette has committed to Western Michigan University, NCAA Division 1. Paquette is in his rookie season with the Canucks and has earned 11 points in 22 games so far this season.
“We are very excited for Nolan’s commitment to Western Michigan,” said Head Coach Brad Moran, “He has come in as a 16 year old that makes an impression every time he is one the ice. Nolan’s willingness to want to improve each day really stands out. He is quickly growing into an elite defenseman in the league.”
“I’m excited to commit to Western Michigan University and look forward to becoming a Bronco,” shared Paquette, “A big thanks to the Calgary Canucks for all their support and helping me grow as a player.”
