The Calgary Canucks were in the community bright and early on Tuesday morning, July 11th. A collection of Canucks players and Canucks staff rolled up their sleeves and served breakfast at the Best Western Port O’ Call Hotel in support of the property’s annual Stampede Breakfast.
The event is organized by the Best Western Port O’Call Hotel, which is a valued sponsor and supporter of the Calgary Canucks Hockey Club. The players were very proud to contribute to the event, by first braving the heavy morning rain to direct the patrons to the breakfast location in the hotel, and then by serving pancakes, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and beans to the good folks who were in attendance. A visit by His Worship Naheed Nenshi, the Mayor of the City of Calgary added to the event’s popularity, and several performances by the Chinook Country Line Dancers added to the fun and festivities.
The Calgary Canucks hockey club is very committed to community endeavours throughout the calendar year, and especially events put on by our corporate sponsors. Even when the hockey season is complete, the boys enjoy dedicating volunteer time out in the community, and helping with various important causes and endeavours.
