The Calgary Canucks Jr. “A” Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Calgary native James Poole has been named Head Coach and General Manager of the Canucks for the 2016-2017 Alberta Junior Hockey League season.
James Poole comes to Calgary with a history of winning as a head coach, most recently compiling a record of 221-111-28 with the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
James is no stranger to the Max Bell Centre, home of the Calgary Canucks, as he led the Midget AAA Calgary Buffaloes as head coach to a Macs Midget Championship.
The Calgary Canucks are looking forward to building on our break out 2015-2016 season led by 2016 Viterra Cup winning goalie Logan Drackett and developing a winning tradition for the Calgary Canucks. Seasons tickets for our 2016-2017 games at the Max Bell Centre are now available and represent the best hockey value in town.
