Canucks Acquire Braydon Jenkins

This past weekend the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL acquired 1999-born forward Canucks Acquire Braydon Jenkins (Calgary, AB) from the Drumheller Dragons in exchange for 1997 forward Ryan McKinnon (Edmonton, AB).  Jenkins, played his 16-year old season with the Okotoks Oilers recording 8 goals and 11 assists for 19 points.

“In order to acquire good players you have to give up good players, but we feel this trade brings a very talented local player to the Canucks while moving us closer to the identity were trying to create. At the same time this move also provides a better balance of our ages throughout the roster,” states Head Coach James Poole.   “Having worked with Braydon last year, I know firsthand the potential he has as a player and the quality person he is which will fit very well into our team dynamic.”

The Calgary Canucks would like to thank Ryan for his contributions and wish him luck moving forward, while at the same time welcome Braydon and the Jenkins family to the Canucks organization.
