Canucks Clear the Ice at Crossroads Community Association

The Calgary Canucks were in the community on Thursday afternoon, February 23rd at an outdoor rink located directly behind the Crossroads Community Association.  The Canucks team came to the outdoor skating surface after the team's practice, to help clear snow off the rink for the kids and families living in the Mayland Heights, Belfast, and Vista Heights areas of the city's North East.

Over the last 24 hours, there was enough snow that had fallen in the city to have blanketed the outdoor rink. The boys were willing to do their part to give the community association a helping hand.  In less than 30 minutes, the snow was cleared by the hard working shovellers, and the rink is now ready for a late February flood.  This will give the residents a place to skate for another couple of weekends in our great city!

The Calgary Canucks take great pride in the community work they do.  The work in the community is a reflection of their values of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance that they display on the ice.  For more information on the Calgary Canucks and their commitment to the community, please click on http://www.calgarycanucks.ca/community/community-initiatives.html .
