The Calgary Canucks wrapped up the regular season on Saturday night with a 6-2 victory over the Olds Grizzlys, finishing fourth in the AJHL South Division with a 25–25–5 record and 55 points.

The Canucks closed the season on a high note with a road victory over the Drumheller Dragons, before returning home to play in front of a season-high crowd against the Grizzlys. In front of 1,658 fans, Max Sullivan opened the scoring late in the first period, making it a 1-0 game. To start the second period, Olds struck twice, grabbing a 2-1 lead, but the Canucks would regain the lead with goals from Mason Koponyas and Riley Bracko.

In the final twenty minutes, Harper LoLacher added two goals, bringing his season total to 40 and 41, with LoLacher becoming the first Canuck to score 40 goals in a season since Kyle Burton accomplished the feat in 2006-07.

“It feels good. I mean, obviously, it was a goal of mine before I came in the season, and just individually it feels good, but most importantly, it does not matter unless we get that cup at the end there,” said LoLacher.

Adam M’Hamed would add on one more goal for his team, while goaltender Noah Nelson made 33 saves in the 6-2 win over Olds.

Next up for the defending Centennial Cup champions and back-to-back AJHL champions, the Canucks will travel to Canmore to face the Eagles in the opening round of the 2026 Inter Pipeline Cup playoffs.

“It feels great. It was big for this group to go into the playoffs on a heater, and that’s what we did,” said Captain Riley Bracko.

The Canucks finished the season with a 5-3-2 record over their last ten games.

“There’s a physical team that can score goals, so we’ve got to be on our A game defensively,” said Bracko on the Eagles, ”Play simple, you know. I think it’s one thing we talked about a lot is just simplifying our game on the road,” added Bracko on his teams play opening the playoffs in Canmore.

The Canucks will head to Canmore this weekend for games one and two of the opening round before returning to Ken Bracko Arena for game three on March, 24, 2026.
