CANUCKS ANNOUNCE INTERIM COACHING STAFF FOR REMAINDER OF SEASON

The Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) today announced the appointment of Geoff Rollins as Interim Head Coach and Ryan Carson as Interim Associate Coach for the remainder of the 2025–26 season. They will join Assistant Coach Riley Hearn behind the bench as the Canucks prepare to enter the AJHL playoffs.

Both Rollins and Carson are respected alumni of the Calgary Canucks organization and bring a strong understanding of the club’s culture, expectations and winning tradition, making them well-positioned to guide the team through the final stretch of the season.

Geoff Rollins will assume the role of Interim Head Coach and will provide leadership and direction as the team enters the most critical part of the season.

Rollins brings a wealth of playing experience to the Calgary Canucks organization. A proud Canucks alumnus, Rollins played his junior hockey with the Calgary Canucks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League before continuing with the Kindersley Klippers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He went on to establish a professional playing career that included stops across several North American leagues, including the ECHL, Central Hockey League, Southern Professional Hockey League, and the International Hockey League.

Ryan Carson joins the staff as Interim Associate Coach. Carson brings a wealth of hockey knowledge and elite-level playing experience to the role. A former Calgary Canuck, his playing career spanned the AJHL, SJHL, ACAC, and Senior AAA levels.

The organization believes the combination of Rollins, Carson and Hearn will provide strong leadership and continuity as the team enters playoff competition.

“The Calgary Canucks have always been built on the strength of our alumni and the pride they carry for this organization,” said the club. “Geoff and Ryan both understand what it means to wear the Canucks jersey and we are excited to see them step into these roles as we prepare for the playoffs.”

The Canucks would also like to thank Mat Robinson and Brandon Kozun for their dedication and commitment to the organization and wish them every success in their future endeavours.
