Canucks McNeill Commits to SAIT

The Calgary Canucks are pleased to announce that 1996 – born forward Zach McNeill has committed to SAIT for the 2017-2018 Season.

McNeill played a total of 122 games in the AJHL, 34 of which were played with the Canucks.  Initially joining the team during the 2015-2016 season, McNeill put up 14 points in 23 games with the team before being moved to Nipawin in the SJHL.  McNeill returned to the AJHL to start the 2016-2017 season with the Grande Prairie Storm before making his return to the Canucks in January. To finish the season he racked up 3 points in the 12 games he played with Canucks and led the team with 4 goals and 3 assists in the 2017 playoffs.

“Zach McNeill has an element that every team needs and other teams know every time he is on the ice,” notes President Pat Loyer. “A fierce competitor, Zach will now take the next step in his hockey career and off ice steps with his studies. We are excited for Zach as he moves forward in hockey and school.”
