The Calgary Canucks would like to congratulate 2006-born forward Gavin Garland on signing his National Letter of Intent with the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Garland is in his rookie season with the Calgary Canucks and recently won gold with Canada West team at the World Junior A Challenge.
“Gavin came to us with high expectations and he has certainly lived up to those expectations. Both on and off the ice he continues to grow and develop every day. We all see the on ice ability Gavin has but for me the biggest asset is his quest to learn and get better,” said Head Coach Brad Moran. “His play away from the puck and 200 foot game has grown immensely and he is using everyone on the ice and making his teammates better regardless of who he plays with. To me that is the sign of a great player.”
