In a great celebration, the banner was finally unveiled prior to the home opening game. The Calgary Junior 'A' Hockey Club would like to thank all the volunteers and team officials who have made this night possible! Next to the Ken Bracko ceremony, the Canucks came out short in their home opener, losing 5:3 to the Mustangs. it was a rough start with the Canucks falling back 3:1 in the first half of the game. They battled back within reach before the Mustangs scored with seconds left in the second period to make it 5:3. Unable to force a response in the third this ended up being the final score.
The Canucks are back in action at Max Bell on Tuesday, September 15, playing the Olds Grizzlys. Puck drop is at 7:00 PM!
