The Canucks defeated the MOB 4-2 on Saturday night to get its first win in Fort Mcmurray since October 28, 2006.
Gui Glasspoole and Trent Geiger anchored the offence scoring two goals each. Derek Thorogood and Gianni Mangone each added two assists as well. Andrew Guglielmin stopped 35 to 37 shots in the game, including 15 in the third period.
The Canucks record improved to 7-9-1 moving them to 5th place in the South Division, passing the Okotoks Oilers and Olds Grizzlys.
The Canucks next game is in Sherwood Park tomorrow against the Crusaders at 2:15 PM
The Canucks have not defeated the Cru since February 4, 2007.
